Going to work with Dad

Today was the day for Archer to hang out with Rob at work.  Usually I pick the child or children up at lunch time so they get a glimpse of what Dad does all day and they aren't completely bored waiting until 5:00.

 Archer, Rob, and I went out to lunch and with a few minutes to kill, Rob took us to the Pinball Museum to burn a few quarters.

Not sure I like spending lunch time this way.

More celebrating

Part of Emma's birthday gift was to go see Beauty and the Beast at The Smith Center.  Grandma Toni, Emma, and I got together early Saturday morning to enjoy a wonderful musical.  It was so early we may or may not have had to cheer Emma up with some M & M's!

After the show we got together to enjoy a ward activity that Rob helped to organize.  We went to Lone Mountain park and played and enjoyed dinner.

The twined socks are finished and I think that I like them, they are thick and warm, a tad bigger would have been a good idea but I do like the red and white.

 Still working on the Fair Isle sweater, and the scarf too.  Knowing me, something new will get started soon.  I might have a problem!

An outing for the men

Today Grandpa and Rob joined forces and took the boys to the driving range.  Everybody made it home without a scratch or a blackeye so--huge success!

The day

Today was the actual day just 11 years ago that Emma joined our family.  We are so much better for having Emma in our family.  We have all learned to increase our patience.  We have all learned to be better at serving each other.  We have an understanding that Emma is here to teach us and help us grow.  We know that we are helping Emma but I believe she has the harder job teaching us.
Emma chose Wienerschnitzel for dinner which included a huge sundae.  After dinner there were a few more presents to celebrate our girl.

Learning curve

Ridge is working on doing his own hair.  Not sure if this is a phase or a statement, we shall see.

Emma Early

We celebrated Emma a little bit early this year so we could include her cousin Madeline in the celebration.  All the grandparents, Jason, Eric, and Madeline and our family gathered to watch "The Croods" and then head to In n out Burger for lunch.  We had a fun morning and were glad to be with family.

Emma got to attend Activity Day Camp this week and one of the activities she got to participate in was archery.  Look at my girl!

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday and early church means that the goodies from the Bunny have to wait until after church.  Family photos also have to wait until after church, or at high noon when the sun is at peak brightness or close to it.

 

 We had a great visit from the Bunny.
