Buble

Rob and I finished celebrating our anniversary with a Michael Buble show last night.  He was fantastic!  He was funny! (and for the sake of alliteration)  He was fine!

He came all the way out here and sang.
It really was a great show, you ought to go see him when he comes again.

What do you call that?

Emma: Ticklish
Ridge: No! It's WICK-ER-WISH

Utah retreat

We headed to Panguitch, Utah again this summer for a little time away from all the crazy and schedule and chores.  We had a great time bonding with family.
We started out with some shave ice in Cedar, well we tried until the machine broke.  We actually split two snow cones between the five of us and it was just right.

My brother and neice rode up with Ridge, Emma, and me.  We had a great time on the way singing and eating and chatting.  We met up with my parents and Archer at the cabin.  Bright and early on Saturday we were on the lake daring fish to take the bait.  Emma mostly liked to drive the boat and Ridge mostly observed and picked out bait for anybody that was in need.

Rob and Eric were able to catch a ride out to our boat and joined in the fishin fun.  We are so happy to report that Rob did catch a fish this year!  He in fact won the prize for the most caught and the smallest caught!

We roasted some of the best marshmallows ever.

There was the family portrait in the Old Navy flag shirt.

This year, we introduced hooking.  Jason was all to ready to show off his skillz and crocheted necklaces for the younger set.
Archer learned an important lesson about parents being right.  Archer loves DOTS candies but didn't understand what the big deal was about the candy getting stuck in your teeth.  Archer now gets it, his tooth got stuck in the candy!

We had a great time, thanks Grandma and Grandpa!  See ya next year.

Happy One Five

Today Rob and I are celebrating or 15 years of wedded bliss.  I don't think there is anybody else that I would want on this journey with me.  I think that we are such a wonderful balance for each other.  Of course when it's good it's good and when it's bad it's still good, it's just harder to remember.  I know that the struggles are what make the good times so good and to see such strength in each other and know that somebody always has your back is really a great thing.  I am so grateful for my Rob!

Not only do we look young but the Las Vegas Temple doesn't even have these fountains any more!

Summer reading list

I have mentioned the reading competition between Archer and I and I thought I would just share the titles I have read this summer just in case you wanna try something new.

Not a fav but quick read.

Because I had to complete the Twilight thing.

Liked it better than the movie--but isn't that the way it works.

Strange subject-matter but LOVED it.

After this one, CAN. NOT. wait to see what happens in book 3!

Good but don't see myself investing in all 42 million books in the series.

So far, so good.

I have really enjoyed my reading endeavors, this has not always been the case for me.  I always read the books that were required in school but leisure reading was not for me.  I am really coming to enjoy it and I am so thankful for friends that have given me recommendations and warnings.  Thanks, guys!

Re-do

Even though Ridge has been part of his family for most of the time we have lived in this house, I just got around to decorating the bathroom closest to his bedroom in a manner that is pleasing to both the girl and boy that use this particular bathroom.

We went from this

ultra girly flowery daisy-like

To this

Thanks to the cricut and some vinyl, we have a way mickey'd-out bathroom.  I also want to just say that this was my first time using/installing a drywall anchor and before I could breakout the spackle (to patch the hole from the towel bar, not my poor skills), my hoosband suggested just camouflaging the hole.  Probably shouldn't have shared that secret but it shows that I am conquering my perfectionism or that I'm lazy...not sure which.  Anyway, over disney'd and minus lots of gerbera daisies and overall very satisfactory.
