Savings update

Tonight was the grocery shop. I did three separate transactions to make sure that I received the coupon vouchers I had earned through all my planning. In total, I got $318.72 in groceries for $107.94. That is a 66% savings. I also walked out of the store with $20 in vouchers to use on my next trip. It is exciting to see what I can save and I love when the cashier complements my efforts and achievements. I even impressed the man behind me when on my last transaction I saved 114.05 and spent 38.52!

The even better news is that I saved enough on groceries to buy that purse I saw today and resisted!

Can't leave 'em for a minute

Farewell, Madeline

We have had so much fun with our cousin Madeline this summer. Today was the last hurrah! We had lunch together, swam, played, and ate humongous shave ice! We will see you soon, Manna!

We had a deal!!

On the way to go Visiting Teaching this afternoon, I encountered a few birds in the road. I kept on my way knowing that as usual, the birds would leave the path of my gynormous SUV. Because, after all, we have a deal, birds move when people approach, even Seinfeld speaks of this deal.

NOT TODAY!

Now, we sit and wait for my wonderful husband to come home and dislodge a dove from the grill of my car.

Savings

I thought this was a successful trip to CVS today. I think it was successful because I bought brand new markers. A package of brand new markers brings me joy. I have no idea why. I am not artistic, I don't know what I will do with these markers but, they are new, they were buy one get one free, and I had a coupon. Sweet!! So, to show off my new markers, I figured I would post about a successful savings trip where I saved 71%. That's right, all of this for only 15.77!

How we roll....

in Panguitch.

What do YOU use for bait?

Second annual trip to Panguitch, Utah

It may just be becoming a tradition. We made the trek up to Panguitch this past weekend and communed with nature. It is wonderful to get together with the entire Jones fam and spend some time enjoying each other. We learned lots...
reeling in a fish of 22+ inches makes your hands hurt and your arms shake,

Emma's sense of humor never fails to get a laugh,

Ridge loves to go fishing,

the more dirt and smoke you have on you, the more fun you have,

Rob is a really good sport, especially since this is all he managed to land on the boat,

it is difficult to get 10 people to look at the same camera at the same time,

and finally, we learned that we have hit the age in parenthood where Mom and Dad are lame!
