First flight to SLC

Grandpa Gardner has just been itching to take a plane ride to anywhere but was willing to go to Salt Lake.  We packed our bags and headed to the airport for Ridge's first plane ride, probably the first one Emma will remember, and Archer had a better appreciation for the whole process by the ripe old age of 13.

We enjoyed the short flight and quickly found our way to the new mall, had some lunch, and took in a few sites.

We headed toward the running store to pick up my race info for race number 6 and made a stop at the knitting store as well.

All this while the husband happily waited.

Happily because these were the children.
We met up with Uncle Richard and Aunt Pat for dinner at Archibald Gardner's restaurant.  We were too late to enjoy some shopping but we walked around a bit and read about Robert Gardner's involvement with Gardner Village.  Kinda makes you feel important.
