Independence Day

It rained on the Fourth of July.  It rained just enough to cool things off, not to make them hot and sticky.  It rained enough to make things clean and fresh.  It rained enough to remind us of the beauty of the land we love.  It rained enough to remind us of the tears that were shed, the lives that were given, and the amazing gift of freedom that was given to us.  We have such a reverence for those that serve in our military, we know that it is by the grace of God that we are Americans and we do not take that blessing for granted.  We love our country and we love our God.  What better way to celebrate these things than by having your family around you.  We called up our parents and friends and had an ice cream social going in a matter of and hour or two.  It is a blessing to share time with those we love.
