Rob took the younger cousins on a hike while Archer and Grandpa fished and Mom and I cleaned up the cabin.
We watched the birds all weekend. This little house had two parents feeding at least one baby. It was amazing to watch the baby being coaxed out of the nest. The food was being delivered father and farther from the door until finally on Sunday, Maddy noticed the baby jumped out of the house. It is such a reenforcement of God's hand in all things when you can see the parenting that we all do on a much slower pace put to work in the lives of birds. Aren't we all just coaxing our babies out of the nest so they will fly one day too?
The drive home from Utah always provides fodder for laughs. This drive was enlivened with an intense cloud burst that resulted in a semi tipping over. At times scary but always memory-making:
B-E-A-U-tiful
Yep, those white patches are snow
Here's the story: Rob is driving, I am doing color commentary and we see a Lamborghini being towed by this Budget truck. Really, a Lamborghini, on the road to Mesquite! Quick, take a picture. And this picture is why I don't take pictures from the moving car.
