Saturday afternoon I smelled smoke in the neighborhood. When I went outside, there was a large plume of black smoke coming from the neighbor's house. When the 3 firetrucks arrived, they determined that some steer manure spontaneously combusted and fortunately there was no damage done to the house other than some scorch marks on the siding. The firemen handed out helmets to the lookey-lews and were off.
